Pics from a gun buyback

Some UK paper thinks that what is mostly a pile of trash is an astonishing arsenal of guns. From Camden, where most of those guns are unlawful to own.

Not all trash. I saw a few odds and ends I would take home with me even if just for spare parts..

“Nearly all the guns will be destroyed”

Yeah, we all know the police are not going to destroy those expensive fully auto weapons.

  3. BenC Says:

I believe what looked like a brass framed lever action Winchester was in fact a Daisy BB gun I had one like it when I was a kid.

If those could somehow dissaper before they get destroyed. I better call the ATF, they experts on smuggling guns.

As I’m heading to a suburb outside of Camden tomorrow night I have to say I feel a great sense of relief.

Why, I might have tripped over one of those if they had been left on the street.

In the first photo I spotted a cut down Krag Jorgensen rifle. Gun buy backs are worse than useless, they destroy a lot of old and (to someone like me) valuable guns. They epitomize everything wrong with the gun control movement, they bring no reduction in crime and violence but are instead a feel good measure that allows their proponents to pat themselves on the back.

Noticed a couple of old Browning-designed Colt pocket pistols there. Hope they don’t make it to the smelter.

  8. Matthew Carberry Says:

    @ Ted

We rightfully point out that some of these guns get “lost” into cop’s hands. In a big picture sense we can only hope some of the more historicaly valuable do. If the laws in NJ change eventually those guns will at least still exist and those cops can put them back on the market.

What A Joke. Why Do People Do It?

  10. Phelps Says:

I was astonished to hear that there were guns under some of that rust. The number of black powder rifles was also amusing.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
