Debate, live blog until I get bored: I only made it 10 minutes last time.

Romney makes case. Obama says he’s lying, babbles.

Romney would do better if it wasn’t for his record. Coal and all.

Hmm, that probably works for Obama too.

Hey, Obama, answer the fucking question.

Wow, that line about gas prices drew audible gasps..

it’s early, but Barry is getting his ass kicked.

Moderator sucks and doesn’t know the rules.

All the talk of green energy and Romney doesn’t bring up their failures?

Romney says stuff. And Obama says “one time, Romney said this other stuff”

Somebody needs their teleprompter.

Romney scores a good point on small businesses being taxed as individuals.

Romney supports the Bush tax cuts, just like me!

Moderator: I know you’re making a point Romney, but fuck you.

And, I’m bored.

One more thing, I guess Obama had it easier debating McCain, who was dumb.

My take- You’re lying, NO YOU are lying… lather rinse repeat… and yeah the Gas prices line WAS a good one!

  2. ATLien Says:

The dumb “moderator” already let it be known that she wasn’t going to follow the rules. They should have chucked her when she said that.

  3. HSR47 Says:

Yeah, so far the only the first “debate” was run in a manner even approaching competent.

The woman who “moderated” the VP “debate” as well as the woman who “moderated” this “debate” both seemed to want to make themselves a large part of the discussion.

Jim Lehrer on the other hand asked a question, and then SHUT THE HELL UP and let them go back and forth on it until they had exhausted themselves, at which point he would ask another question. He handled it competently, professionally, and consistently.

I don’t believe the same can be said of the “debate” tonight, or the “debate” between the VP candidates.

McCain did terrible 4 years ago debating Obama. I think it is because they both believe in big gov.

John McCain is a piece of crap rhino poseur. He failed because he didn’t want to win. And let’s face it. He would have governed much the same as Obama.

Obama is the best thing that could have happened to this country.

Look at the rise of the tea party. And libertarian ideals.
Look how energized the thoughtful, rational right has become.
See how we are on our way to actual real reform in this country about how we are governed.Big Gov vs.small.
Witness how not even soft lefty Republican politicians are safe in their jobs.
Look at the decimation of the blue dog dems who lend their party some legitimacy and normalcy.Which the DNC does not deserve.
Had McCain(I really hate McCain) won we would not be nearly as focused, driven, and ready for change as we now are.
Is Romney my conservative ideal. Not by a long shot, but he is the real deal. He will win. He will scale back big Gov. He wil buy us time to organize and philosophize and help folk remember what it is that makes this the greatest country the world has ever known.
Freedom. Independance. Small gov. Low regulation. etc. The right to pursue happiness and self-reliance. The ral American dream.
Romney has owned Obama in the first two debates. Obama was awake for this one, but still got owned by Romney.

  5. Linoge Says:

Until they find a moderator willing to do his damned job, these “debates” will be nothing more than carefully-crafted and -controlled commercials for Our Glorious President.

  6. Diane Says:

Romney left me cold when asked about equal pay for women.

  7. Matthew Carberry Says:

What exactly should any President, who can’t adjust wages by dictat, say about “equal pay” for anyone?

  8. Paul Says:

“One more thing, I guess Obama had it easier debating McCain, who was dumb.”

Well no, McCain was not dumb if you look at his bio. BUT, Obama tied a Bush to his tail and Obama didn’t have a track record except voting ‘present’ all the time.

Now Obama has a track record of ‘I stink’ and Mitt has a far better track record.

Mitt is now 51 pct, Obama 45. Hope it goes much higher for if it isn’t close, they can’t cheat.
