It was not a mistake

Man investigates a break in at neighbor’s. The would be robber attacks him with a knife. The man shoots him dead. The perp turns out to be the man’s 15 year-old adopted son. Now, that’s pretty awful. But it was not a mistake. Via Tam, who says:

Had this happened on your home turf, the papers would be wondering why an innocent and apparently much-loved elementary school teacher was carved up by his own son. Do you have a preference as to which of those stories you’d rather read? I know I do.

Wait! “adopted” I wonder how many different news outlets I’ve heard reference this story before now and yet SayUncle is the first to mention this little detail. One more gig for the domestic press.

Adopted when his father went to prison 4 years ago

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
