Gun handling

Why would you need to do a barrel roll with a gun?

Stop touching it.

Obviously a disciple of the Jason Nesmith school of tactical thought…

  2. SPQR Says:

‘Javelin’, so much fail. A roll has no tactical purpose whatsoever except in Mall Ninja Interpretative Dance.

  3. NAME REDACTED Says:

Its not a tactical maneuver, its an Akido drill that teaches you how to get to the ground really fast, and how to move comfortably with the ground.

Its odd that he added a gun to the Akido drills though.

Rolling toward someone looks like a good way to get a bullet in your ass.

A roll with a gun doesn’t make much sense. But if you want to pick up a gun from the ground while moving it might. I’ve seen that done during a break in training by the instructors and even practiced it a little bit. It might even be the right thing to do when the gun is in the open and there is cover on either side.

But my bottom line on it is that the roll is a “cool” solution in search of a problem.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
