and the gun was a Star, an extra shitty 1911 clone from Espana, which may have misfired. if so, the citizenry and the po-po were spared more bullets going in another direction. ‘course, the shooter ended up dead, so un-sue-able, unlike Bloomie and his city.
” “If you don’t know what you’re doing, you’re probably not going to be able to hit the broad side of a barn with it,” said Joseph F. King, a former United States Customs Service special agent. ”
Yeah, the first thing I think of when when I hear .45 is uncontrollable recoil…
Difficult to handle? I was first introduced to the 1911 by my uncle when I was ten years old. I didn’t find it that difficult to shoot, and I was no bigger or stronger than any other kid my age.
Critter may be a little harsh on Star. I don’t know what vintage the shooter had, but there was a time when Bonifacio Echeverria was fairly well thought of. With practice, I think you could shoot consistent ten Ecks.
Sure. And the LAPD was wringing their hands about how the FN 5.7 round could drop a elephant. Actually, it probably could… If you pumped 600+ rounds of 5.7 into a elephant.
P.D.s have gotten to be as bad as the leftstream propoganda service when it comes to gun “facts”.

Perhaps the NYT needs to see the Archival Footage of Col.Cooper shooting the 1911 using only his Thumb and the Trigger Finger.

Thank goodness the .357 Magnum has decreased in popularity, or the crazed gunman might have been shooting people who hid behind engine blocks.
I think I should take the GP-100 to the range again, soon.

The first handgun I remember trying when I was a teenager was a snub .38/.357 that I couldn’t hit anything with. I could hit with the 1911 just fine.
