Not that I think I’ve ever been the least bit suicidal, no matter
how depressed I’ve been, (I want to stick around and see what
happens.) but if I were going to off m’self, I’d get into a small closet with a large bottle of compressed nitrogen, tape up most
of the crack around the door, and crack the valve on the nitro-
gen. Hypoxia is the easiest way to go, and leaves a good-looking corpse, if one cares about that.

P.s. I mind the story of a woman hereabouts who, a few years back, shot her daughter and then herself, with a .44 Special,
IIRC. She shot the daughter in the head and was so revolted by
the daughter’s head-shot appearance that when it came time to
shoot herself, she shot herself in the chest. Some people are so
vain.
Dorothy Leigh Sayers wrote a mystery novel about a guy who was too vain to shoot himself in the head, and shot himself in the chest instead.
