An app to deal with Bloomberg’s overreach

The NYCLU has a free phone app to help out against NYC’s stop and frisk, fourth amendment violation, stations::

The New York Civil Liberties Union (NYCLU) today unveiled “Stop and Frisk Watch”, a free and innovative smart phone application that will empower New Yorkers to monitor police activity and hold the New York Police Department (NYPD) accountable for unlawful stop-and-frisk encounters and other police misconduct, much of which is the focus of several civil rights lawsuits against the city pending state and federal courtrooms.

Also, the app can alert you to where police are currently stopping and frisking people.

Interesting. Does it give a cop’s badge number and precinct when you snap an image of his face?

So, um, what’s the context here? Do you feel that all stop-and-frisks are unconstitutional? Or are they just illegal when they happen to disproportionately fall on “black or Latino” people- who just happen to be the primary perpetrateurs of crime in NY- as evidenced by the fact that they are “innocent of any wrongdoing [which can be turned up by a stop and frisk]” as often as white friskees are “innocent of any wrongdoing”?

Markie Marxist sez: “This just sounds like modern public safety policy to me. It’s just common communist sense to stop and frisk people whenever the Marxist state feels like doing so. You’re not against modern public safety, are you?”

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
