Silencing speech on twitter

Apparently, there’s some organized campaign to get people silenced by reporting them as spam.

    Shocking.

  2. Mad Saint Jack Says:

Wasn’t this happening on blogger a few years ago with the “report abuse” button?

  3. aeronathan Says:

I’m shocked, shocked I tell you, that liberals don’t like free speech…

  4. Thirdpower Says:

    And on Digg as well.

  5. Sigivald Says:

Someone should point out to them that it just makes them look scared.

Confident people don’t need to silence the opposition, after all.

  6. Dustydog Says:

Elections are decided by two populations in coalition: the informed electorate who votes consistently, plus the uninformed electorate who hears something that gets them just excited enough to actually go vote. If they just barely convince informed conservatives and libertarians to stay home on election day, they win. If they just barely manage to hide the puppy-eating instincts of the president, they win.

Hillary Clinton would have beat Obama in the primary, except for the small, bareless noticeable tweek from crap like this. Knock a few people off twitter, have a few dead people vote, and the effect aggregates.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
