Live free or there

In the video of my son’s first shots with an AR-15, Weerd comments:

Also this is impossible without a collapsible stock which is illegal in Massachusetts.

Making children smile is illegal here.

In MA, equipment to be adjusted for ergonomics is banned.

Another excellent reason not to live in Massachusetts.

  2. mike w. Says:

What does Mass. have against T-Rex and his itty bitty arms?

  3. Weer'd Beard Says:

    One big reason why I don’t own a S&W M&P15-22.

on a .22 trainer I’m willing to deal with limited magazines.

But for a lightweight gun that looks like a “Cool Rifle”, that’s an ideal gun to get a young person into shooting, and for that you really need to be able to tailor it to different body sizes.

  4. Chas Says:

At least a trigger doesn’t constitute a “deadly feature”.

  5. The Comedian Says:

    Yet.

  6. Jeffersonian Says:

In Mass. are you allowed to have that shoulder thing that goes up? It might be another option in this situation.

  7. Weer'd Beard Says:

Jeffersonian, Mitt Romney signed a law that simply made the Federal AWB permanent state law.

So when the ban had its sunset in 2004, we stayed the same.

So if it was illegal in 2000, its illegal here now. So the typical Two-features = Banned (with an M&P15-22, it has a pistol grip, so a collapsible stock would make it an “illegal Assault Weapon”, see also threaded barrel or flash hider, or bayonet lug (But I can still clip a Laser Lyte Bayonet to the rail system!)

And since the M&P line wasn’t around in 1994, all magazines must be 10 rounds or less.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
