SRT arms will build ya one of those. Ain’t a whole lot of point if you want to shoot anything though, 5.56 ballistics suck out of a 10″ barrel.

Speaking of, I hope that’s one mother of a blast baffle.

    Thanks for the link.

@TomcatTCH: Inside my house I care more about my hearing than I care about the fact that the bullet isn’t moving fast enough to be effective beyond 150 yards.

I care VERY much about hearing. My compromise is an integrally suppressed .45 ACP carbine. I know what Winchester Ranger .45 does, and I like it’s ballistics better than an SBR length barreled 5.56 carbine. I’m willing to bet the .45 is quieter, but not enough to matter any with regards to hearing protection.

It’s not about range, it’s about making a rifle round do what it’s designed to. A 10″ barrel DOESN’T do that with 5.56. Not enough velocity. That’s what .300 whisper/fireball/blackout is for.

Sooner or later after I’m more comfortable with it, I’ll probably change to a muzzle can on an FS2000, but I’m not as comfortable with the manual of arms yet, so it’s still an expensive toy.

What ammo are you going to run in your 10″ AR? What’s your muzzle velocity? Does it expand and/or fragment at that velocity? Or is it a glorified .22 Mag?

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
