I’ve never handled one, but I have heard that these are actually pretty nice knives. My main complaint against the old model was the serrations, and now they have fixed that.

You can break a knife by using the ‘baton’ technique, but if you do it right – and with the right knife – you can get a surprising amount of work done with minimal effort. I’ve actually dropped a four inch diameter tree doing this without breaking too much of a sweat. This knife looks about perfect for that sort of use. Of course an ax or a saw would be far better, but if all you have is a knife, you do what you can.

I like the orange highlights, too. All my small outdoor stuff has a bright color on it somewhere. If they made the handguards a little smaller it’d be just about perfect.

I just got this knife for christmas. I haven’t really used it yet, but I’m a big fan already. great size, great features and I’m a fan of Gerber.

Of course, if you want a close look at it, I’m sure it will show up on The Walking Dead. All the other Gerber toys did.

So…does this knife assist you in drinking your own…never mind. Too easy.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
