You know, you make the claim that ATF was using their smuggling of guns into Mexico to make the case for stronger gun laws and people call you nuts. Except that, now, CBS is claiming that same thing:

Documents obtained by CBS News show that the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) discussed using their covert operation “Fast and Furious” to argue for controversial new rules about gun sales.

Readers may recall that I used to work with sexual offenders, until I realized they were better off dead. So, I know a thing or two about them. Not an expert by any means and this was years ago. Child molesters are attracted to children. If you ask them, as I have, why they like kids, they will respond with things like pudgy cheeks, small bodies, large eyes, and other things characteristic of children. Not the child’s gender. Most of them had molested both genders. But not all. Most started with the same gender because they were convenient targets (i.e., mom not afraid to leave a boy alone with a male, but moms may not leave their daughter alone with one). That doesn’t make them gay. It also doesn’t make them straight. It makes them child molesters. I see the presumption that child molesters molesting same sex children means they’re gay enough in light of the recent school and sports scandals. The flip to David’s question there would be the presumption that straight people would be attracted to same sex children. But they’re not. If they’re normal.

One of the dumbest marketing ideas I’ve ever seen is Dr. Pepper 10. It’s a diet drink that is targeted to men and they have this marketing campaign featuring action movies, guns and car races. Here’s their commercial. Personally, I don’t drink diet anything because it tastes awful. But if I were to, I don’t think I’d be inclined to buy a supposedly manly diet drink.

That said, I’m with Aunt B. They should run this one. I’ve not stopped laughing.
