HK’s UK HQ* is in Nottingham, apparently unbeknownst to many locals. And someone isn’t happy about it so they’re putting up insulting posters to bring awareness. But the K in H undh K rhymes with poke not, uhm, male chicken.

So what is the subliminal message of teh posters? To me it seems that the message is “H&K (is) not in (this city).”
I suppose H&K, with their unmarked warehouse and low business profile, would be happy to have this message spread.

Yeah and H&K is totally going to care. The government checks will keep coming in, and cops carrying USPs and P30s will log overtime to scrap off anti HK Graffiti.

I doubt they used the image to imply the sound of “cock”. The chanticleer on the poster is the character voiced by Roger Miller in the Disney animated version of the Robin Hood story. That character sang a song, “Not in Nottingham.”

Kock means Cook, as in both the surname and of course the action of preparing food. It’s a pretty common word auf Deutsch; and so I always wonder where the ‘coke, not cock’ thing comes from… Maybe US H&K reps don’t like being called ‘a bunch of cocks’?
