In LA

Family driving down the road and a child is playing with a toy M16. Being Cali, this leads to a pursuit. Cops pull them over and give the parents a lecture about toy guns.

And Californians are safer now.

And by “Safer” you mean “Dumber”.

    Hurrr Durrr!

  2. Charlie Foxtrot Says:

Well, the cops are certainly safer. If they are rousting lawful civilians, they don’t have to go against those mean and nasty gang members who just ignore the laws(!) and don’t pay their fines anyway.

And Weer’d — it can hardly get any dumber out here. Crazier, yes — dumber, no.

Great Point, CF! We have mandates that Police watch construction crews dig holes to the tune of mucho overtime…but when calls for shots fired in gang-land (odd given its impossible to get a carry permit in Boston, how those goons getting guns?) the cops don’t show up unless there is ALSO a dead body for their troubles.

  4. Paul Says:

Well it depends on what that ‘toy’ looked like. If it was all red color or blue or such, or miniture, ok. But if it was black and about the same size as a real M16, well that is not good.

  5. TIM Says:

I dont know what to say about this one.I dont know about you guys but I think I would have been able to identify it was child in a car seat not some gun branishing gang banger or something.Sure the gun may from a distance looked real but a child seat come on.

  6. workinwifdakids Says:

“We take that pretty serious,” said Deputy Warren Toy, a spokesman for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

The spokesman should take grammar more serious.ly.

  7. wizardpc Says:

We have mandates that Police watch construction crews dig holes…

That explains the scene from “The Town”

  8. The Freeholder Says:

Deputy Warren Toy? Toy? Obviously the Humor Coefficient of the universe was rather high that day.

  9. Beaumont Says:

Deputy Toy speaks regarding an incident involving a toy gun. I’ve long accused the Left of circular logic; apparently their irony is also circular.

  10. Disavowed With Honor Says:

“… because you never know if the other person had a real gun and would seek to engage.”

That should be changed to “…because you never know if the other person had a PERMIT and would seek to engage.”

In which the case would be a resounding NO. Because The People’s Republic of Kalifornistan can not possibly allow someone to observe ANY Constitutional Rights particularly the 2nd Amendment.

I like the humor in Toy lecturing about toys though.

That should be changed to “…because you never know if the other person had a PERMIT and would seek to engage.”

Uhhh no it should not… You should not have to have a permit to exercise a fundamental right.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
