Is it an election year?

That’s the last time Obama talked about closing Gitmo.

When the SCOAMF says something, it doesn’t mean anything. If it didn’t trash the Dow every time he gave a speech, because his empty words fill people with that opposite of hope, which is despair, then I would think that he merely spoke for the decorative effect of it.
He talks like a blustering woman who is trying to sound manly and forceful, but can’t pull it off and merely sounds ridiculous. Close Gitmo? He’s pandering to his base, but even they don’t believe him any more. He’s a laughingstock with his own people, that is, when they aren’t angry and feeling betrayed.
There’s more to the U.S. presidency than making speeches and playing golf, but with Obama, that’s about all you get, if you leave out the miserable non-economy.
If Rick Perry can do for the U.S. what he’s done for Texas, we’ll be all right. If the SCOAMF gets re-elected, we’re headed for a depression that will make the recession and weak recovery seem like a picnic. But maybe that’s the point of him running for a second term – to make things so bad that socialism will seem like salvation. Hope not.

If i remember right, when he last spoke of it he promised it would be closed by the end of february, 2010. Ive never been to Cuba, so I cant confirm, but…

This caused me to look up SCOAMF. That acronym strikes me as being juvenile. I do, however, like to talk about the Oppressive Oconomy.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
