NSSF said what?

From their blog on ATF and guns in Mexico:

Penalties associated with straw purchasing, up to 10 years in federal prison and a $250,000 fine, should be supplemented with a mandatory minimum sentence. NSSF supports a five (5) year mandatory minimum sentence for anyone convicted of lying to a federally licensed firearms retailer as a means of unlawfully purchasing (straw buying) a firearm. A slap on the wrist should not be given by judges to individuals who knowingly put firearms into the hands of prohibited persons and drug cartels.

Furthermore, NSSF is renewing calls for Congress, the Department of Justice and the Administration to once again fund the Don’t Lie for the Other Guy anti-straw purchasing campaign – a joint firearms industry / law enforcement program that utilizes both public awareness and firearms retailer education to achieve its goal of further reducing illegal firearm purchases.

I’m not sure that would really help. I darn sure don’t want to give the agency responsible for enforcing these things more money or power.

ATF’s ability to maliciously miscontrue a situation to mean a straw purchase merits a big “FUCK YOU!” to NSSF and their effort to sell out their gun owner customers. Call ’em up and put some hurt on their ear!
What, did they just hire Helmke or something?

Given Gunwalker, maybe this time around their idiot campaign should be “Don’t Lie for the Obama Guy”, but why are they asking for corporate welfare when the country is in such poor financial shape? STFD and STFU! It’s like these NSSF cocksuckers can’t get their gay mouths around the government’s cock fast enough. They represent who?

I still think we’ll find out that a majority of the purchasers were being directed by the very agancies that were in charge of stopping them.

That said, we need to charge (and hopefully convict) every single federal employee who participated in or allowed to continue this idiotic attempt at gun trafficing with the appropriate federal crimes. All the way up to the White House.

Headline; ATF stops shipping guns to Mexican cartels.

Unrelated news story; Number of american guns in Mexico drops to new low.

What should/would happen in the free society that the U.S. was supposed to be?

First, there would never have been any such thing as the BATFE, the NFA or the CGA. Given that there is, they should be eliminated immediately, and anyone involved with attempts to infringe upon the rights of Americans under color of law should be brought up on criminal charges.

That’s how a free society works. It’s called rights protection, and our rights aren’t protected if people trying to limit them aren’t brought to justice.

That’s the meaning of Liberty and Justice for All. How many of you believe in it anymore?

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
