The truth slips out

And Steven Chu can just fuck right off:

We are taking away a choice that continues to let people waste their own money

I like my incandescent bulbs for their warmth, so it’s not just a matter of more efficient lighting, as seen by a pointy-headed, bureaucratic bean counter.
The idea of government determining our needs and then making our choices for us is wrong. Americans should have the freedom to determine their own needs and then make their own choices. It’s ridiculous even to have to defend that idea in America. The proper role of government in this situation is to educate, but not to dictate. If there are more efficient light producing products on the market, then government is helpful when it alerts people by informing them of the opportunity to save money with the new technology. However, completely outlawing old-fashioned lightbulbs assumes that every last one of the American people is an idiot who can’t be trusted to decide what’s best for themselves. That kind of bigoted, anti-American, “we know best and Americans are stupid” mentality is typical of the arrogant political left.
Fortunately, Steven Chu just made another footnote in our one-term president’s political obituary. And we’ll chuck you too, Stevie Chu!

First of all, no has yet told me how much it will cost me to replace the heat I get from my incandescents this winter and it gets mighty cold from where I come.

Second. Do you need any more proof that these fools use “Atlas Shrugged” as a how-to primer? I always thought Ayn Rand’s characters were a charicature. I had no idea how right/insightful she was.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
