The best anti-gun research money can buy
Garen Wintemute is at it again, cherry picking data to imply gun owners are drunkards. Ok, then.

The press is spinning the old yarn about how the four (it is four now, right?) wars we’re in are eating up the police ammo supply.
In Alabama:
A Birmingham man is asking in a federal lawsuit filed this week that Birmingham police department’s policy of taking guns for “safe keeping” be declared unconstitutional after his pistol was taken by an officer two years ago and never returned although he never used, or threatened to use, it during a domestic dispute.
The lawsuit, filed Monday by Adedayo Anthony Agboola against the city of Birmingham and a police officer, claims that the taking of his gun, and the seizing of guns from other licensed gun owners in similar circumstances, was in violation of constitutional guarantees to bear arms, to be free from unreasonable search and seizures, and due process of law.
Should be interesting. Sure, domestic violence cases aren’t the most sympathetic. But the report says there was not violence and I don’t see any that he was convicted.
A report from Tapscott. This is infuriating:
The supervisor of Operation Fast and Furious was “jovial, if not, not giddy but just delighted about” walked guns showing up at crime scenes in Mexico according to an ATF agent.
As has been thought all along, this was likely an attempt to create a problem so that ATF could solve it. Secure funding and all.
The Mrs. took the kids to Build a Bear yesterday. Whenever the kids go, the both always build dogs and not bears. Junior built herself a dachshund that had rollerskates. And she named it Weiner.
I wonder if she’s been watching the news?

I saw this at the Glock Sport Shooting Foundation match. Craig’s Firearms had table set up there with various Glock toys and accessories.
Very cool to actually cycle and pull the trigger and watch all the parts move.
Cemetery tries some black powder loads in his AR with video.
And a look at clean up.
Before, he ran a 1911 in black.
The UT police said that allowing permit holders to carry on campus would slow down their response time and ability to determine who was a good guy and who was a bad guy.
There are some folks with serious and not so serious mental health issues. A lot of these seem over-diagnosed. But we’re working on that: Half of Us Are Mentally Ill (and the Other Half Are Undiagnosed).
In a lot of cases, a kid doesn’t really have ADHD or any other disease. They’re often just lacking in the amount of discipline and accountability at home.
Soon, you may want to get some rat poison. But you’re not qualified and will have to get a professional to buy it and use it for you. Because you’re not smart enough.
Homophobic Men Most Aroused by Gay Male Porn. In other news, I think my new favorite phrase is Penile plethysmograph.
Feinstein and Schumer call for renewing the assault weapons ban and more gun control. Perhaps they should have spent some time with some looking at the ATF with their colleagues.
Plaxico Burress, who shot himself in the leg while trying to catch a dropped gun that he was carrying unlawfully and without a holster, will be appearing with the Brady Center People for redemption.
That’s a great role model there.
Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
