ATF smuggled guns showing up at crimes in the US

Oops:

The ABC15 Investigators have uncovered new information showing weapons linked to a questionable government strategy are turning up in crimes in Valley neighborhoods.

For months we’ve been searching through police reports and official government documents to uncover whether assault weapons linked to a controversial ATF plan put Valley communities at risk.

TSA scanners cause cancer

Someone called. Pretty terrible. Even more terrible is TSA’s non-reaction to it and their utter disregard for their employee’s health. And: I also find it amusing (as in, horrifying) that they have redacted the John Hopkins recommended limit on how many scans you can have a year. Because we don’t need to know if we are too frequent a flier. After all, it’s only more radiation on top of the radiation you already get and can’t avoid while flying.

ATF and guns in Mexico

The Washington Post says that all those guns showing up in crime scenes that came from the ATF? Yeah, it’s the NRA’s fault. I can see how you’d think that. If you were retarded.

Suspicious minds

The FBI sent out some flyers telling gun shops to be on the look out for suspicious folks buying guns and to report them. The NRA had no problem with such voluntary reporting. I don’t really mind voluntary reporting of suspicious behavior either.

Shot shell

A reader emails:

I caught the video the other day of the “cut shell”, seemed like a hell of an idea. My question is can this method be applied to the .410 revolvers? Seems there would be little chance of breaking the shells in revolver as apposed to racking them in a pump or semi.

Curious if any of your drones had any input. I wouldn’t try it myself because it seems a bit dangerous and i don’t own said revolver.

I don’t know.

Genius

I was low on deodorant and needed some more. I wasn’t out. But, not knowing when I’d make it to the store, I hopped on Amazon to see if they had my brand. They did and they had a four pack of my brand at less than what I pay per unit at Kroger. Then, I saw this “subscribe and save” thing because deodorant is a frequently purchased product. I clicked on it. If you commit to buying the product at regular intervals, you get 15% off and free shipping. So, every couple of months, four pack of deodorant shows up at my place.

I’m pretty sure this will change my life. I love technology.

Scale

The police will put on their ninja gear, grab their machine guns, kick your door down, and lob in some flashbang grenades to arrest you for student loan fraud, growing orchids illegally, and for less than 1/4 ounce of weed.

But if you’re an actual dangerous criminal suspected in 19 murders who has 20 guns in the house, they lure you out with a phone call.

Officer safety and all.

A friend in law enforcement once explained to me that after 9/11, podunk towns got Free Federal Funding for SWAT teams. Instead of realizing that BFE doesn’t need a bunch of ninjas and using that money for something else useful, most stuck with it because they like SWAT teams. Then they started using them on low-level arrests to justify their existence and also as part of training. No one really was outraged until a few people got killed.

Tar and feathers

The TSA made a 95 year-old woman remove her adult diaper.

I’m of the opinion now that TSA’s silliness will not end unless more agents start getting their asses kicked. I’m not alone.
