Overheard in Pittsburgh

This was hysterical.

Also, on the way in, someone spotted us and noticed that Dennis from Dragon Leatherworks open carrying. The guy stopped us and thanked Dennis for openly carrying.

We’re winning.

I got thanked for openly carrying in Wal-Mart last year. Granted, we are in Tennessee, and you are in Pennsylvania right now, but still… we are, indeed, winning.

Considering the beauty of Dennis’ holsters, they should also thank them for making the world a nicer place.

A friend was OCing in Whole Foods here in Atlanta. Some guy walks up behind him and says … “Open Carry – Good Job – Carry On” and then disappears in the crowd. Yes, we are winning and OCing helps.

“Open Carry — Carry On!” would make a great sticker or poster caption.

I wish I could say that here in Florida. But, at least we’re good on CC.

My suspicion about our latest bill revolves about this: “Police have adamantly opposed the open-carry gun bill from the start, arguing it would make Florida more dangerous.” (yeah right.) I think a good bit of the reasoning behind that (at least in South Florida) isn’t so much police – the ones I know have little if any problem with it…except that it would scare the tourists (especially the ones from Europe) who leave a lot of their money behind when visiting here.

The anti-Florida propaganda overseas was something to see when we wrote in some of our newer gun laws, especially the castle laws and the removal of the “duty to retreat”. (And I’ll give this wussy bill wandering through our legislature one point, at least we won’t be subject to arrest anymore if a shirt accidentally rides up…)

Sigh. Long way to go, but… we’ve come a long way in a fairly short time. And if we ever do get OC here, I promise you I’ll greet all my fellow OCers with a “Carry On.” 🙂

Dragon Leatherworks . . . all I can say is that Dennis does amazing work. AND . . . he’s a great guy.

    Carry on!
