Gun sales up
The attorney general’s office said Monday it processed 12,801 applications in 2010, up 1.5 percent from the previous record high of 12,606 reached the year before.
Hawaii permit applications have nearly doubled since 2000, while the number of registered firearms has surged more than 130 percent.
Hawaii has some pretty strict gun laws too.

I guess this is making it to more than a few news outlets. It’s impressive given that Hawaii isn’t exactly known for having a strong gun culture.
