Way cooler than watching my dad make a Bowie knife out of a truck leaf spring.
That is very cool. Or hot. Whatever it is, I admire and respect that effort.
Incidentally, the next best thing to making your own can be found at http://www.cartercutlery.com I have several Carter knives, and they are outstanding.
