I wonder what he was reholstering.
I would say that the ammo was pretty strong and calculated to inflict a lot of tissue damage.
I talked to a SS agent in front of the White House a couple of years ago, and he had a most impressive rifle on his chest (I think that it was a FN of some sort).

Doesn’t have to have been a finger. If it was an IWB holster and he was working draw drills a bit of shirt could have gotten untucked and worked its way into the holster. Big problem with this in shooting classes. Instructors watch for it.
