TSA screnner charged with raping 14 year old girl. Didn’t happen on the job, despite the press headline. And I’m not sure what a screnner is.

Weer’d: To get work with little education, is my guess. TSA work doesn’t require credentials, does it?
And the whole “intensive pat-down” thing is far too recent to be a motivator.
(More on topic, it’s kinda completely unfair to the TSA to blame them for this.
Imagine someone at Colt’s raped a 14 year old, and VPC went on about it?
THey appear to have run background checks on him; if he had a clean criminal record, what more could anyone have done about him?
Hell, since he didn’t commit his statutory rape* on the job, what the hell does it have to do with anything?)
(* I note that it’s statutory rape because, from the writeup, it appears to have been with the girl’s [moral, if not legal] consent.
It’s still a crime, and it *ought* to still be a crime, but I think we ought to agree it’s a far lesser crime than forcible rape.)
