I reasoned that, after one 550-round milk carton of .22 LR, the $199 kit would pay for itself.

He sounds like an accountant.
But, honestly, $199 for a kit that comes with 3 mags sounds pretty good. I haven’t shot my AR-15 in a long time for a number of reasons, ammo cost being pretty high on the list.
I’ll have to see if I can get this through the Dept. of Finances next month.

Good to hear that it is working out for you!
I am eventually going to replace it with a dedicated upper or an entire rifle, so good to hear that it has found a happy home :).
