Confused
So, the troops heading to the border appear to be going there to keep things from getting into Mexico. Not to keep people and things from getting into the US. So, yeah, who is in charge?

Good Lord! Is anyone paying attention to the fact that Obama is taking orders form the Pres of Mexico? Meanwhile, american fisherman are getting robbed on lakes that straddle the border, local law enforcement officers are getting shot at and/or killed by drug traffickers, and U.S. ranchers along the border cant go outside at night for fear of being murdered. SO these troops are basically being ripped away from their families, sent to the american southwest desert and being told to keep an eye out for US Citizens heading south with machine guns? WTF??!!

I doubt border violence stops while drugs still cross. Limiting drug crossing requires – I think – stopping illegal border crossings.
I wonder, is O responding to AZ politics? If the feds do something about border security, can AZ can repeal 1070? Face saves for everyone? IDK, but worth pondering.
