10/22 with plenty of mags and ammo. ooooo or one fo those Kel-Tec 22WMR pistols and plenty of mags and ammo.

  2. JP Says:

And a slingshot! It’s all about shot placement.

Thanks for linking my post. 🙂

  3. Mikee Says:

Or we could go all George Romero and ask what guns the zombies will still be able to use!

  4. Canthros Says:

I’ve been thinking about a Galil or quality clone (i.e. Kalashnikov action in .223Rem/5.56NATO with a STANAG magwell adapter), but I do already own an AR-15.

  5. Stranger Says:

According to the alchemists, the proper medicine for supernatural bogles such as golems, goblins, ghoulies, and zombies is:

Repeating shotgun, medium to large shot, handloads, and give the shot a bright silver wash. Silver, as in CP Ag.

Silver will not be easily transmuted to,say, nitrogen. Lead should be much easier to transmute on the fly. But solid pure silver will eat hell out of your bore. Don’t ask me how I know that, either.

A modified, ten thousand psi water gun, like road crews use to cut paving. Slices through their heads and cleans out their craniums real good. Also slices their legs off so they stand there on their stumps waiting to have their heads sliced. A horizontal swing can take off the top of their heads, while a vertical swing slices their faces in half, or cuts them vertically into two halves.
The current technological limitations of water jets can be dispensed with for the sake of movie making, so special effects can be quite spectacular. Zombies can be sliced and diced as one pleases, until the engine powering the device ominously begins to sputter . . .

  7. CMathews Says:

I agree 10/22. And Cathros, STANAG does not exist lol.

  8. KCSteve Says:

    Depends on the range.

My ZDS(Zombie Defense System) is layered from about 1/8 mile all the way in.

Start with the PSL, work down through the AR, AK, .30-.30, pistol carbines, shotguns & .22 rifles, various pistols all the way to the machetes, axes, and tomahawks, and a rather large number of knive. After that it gets both creative and messy.

  9. KCSteve Says:

    Stupid typos! (sigh)
That’s what happens when coworkers interrupt your more important activities.

    Ahem.

That’s from 1/2 mile with the PSL and ‘knives‘.

NoVa Arms opens on Saturday. They have a course in Zombie Control

    Phased Plasma Rifle in the….

Oh, I guess I’ll stick with my Alexander Arms 6.5 Grendel Piston AR with 5.5 X ACOG and a bipod. Zombies are slow. I should be getting reliable head shots out at 800m or so! 😉

  12. GuardDuck Says:

Easy, refer to the zombie killers bible:

    MHI

  13. JD Says:

Thats easy, my DPMS .308, mags loaded with 150 grain SST’s.
What would be fun about blasting Zombies is I wouldn’t care about “ruining the meat”.

  14. Canthros Says:

Yes, yes. “STANAG does not exist.” And, yet, nobody was confused about what I meant.

  15. Beaumont Says:

Er, I thought the zombies were already here. You know, the ones infesting DC.

  16. dave Says:

Beaumont, that would certainly explain their need for “braaaiinnnssss…”

  17. Gregg B. Says:

I keep thinking that one of these days the zombies are going to figure out how to shoot, in which case you might not want one so simple that even a caveman could shoot it.

Historically, the biggest problem with exterminating zombies has always been in their massive numbers. You need to find a way to mow them down, like you would trees or hay. I’m thinking a modified swather, or feller buncher would do the job.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
