You’ll put burn your eye out

More flashlight blogging. It’s a topic I do on occasion.

Some goodies I found:

Pretty cool: A couple of reasonably priced 900 lumen flashlights here and here.

If you need more oomph or want to summon the mother ship, here’s a 2,600 lumen rechargeable.

And if those aren’t good enough and you want to keep a little piece of the Sun in your pocket, try this 4,100 lumen monstrosity.

Jesus, that Torch flashlight shows them lighting papers on fire and frying eggs.

That seems a tad overboard for a flashlight, and maybe more harm than good….

I’ve used the First Light Liberator and Tomahawk models, and they work well for shooting and day-to-day applications where you need to keep your hands free; I find that they have replaced my Surefires. http://www.first-light-usa.com

    I want this one 🙂

I have a very cheap light I used while delivering pizza.

    $30 150 lumen 3 C batteries.

You don’t have to raid the kiddy’s college funds. I have a Vector VEC158 spotlight that uses TWO 100-watt H3 bulbs. It’s rated at 3 million CP, dono how that translates to lumens.

It’s hardly tactical. It weighs about as much as a battle rifle, but does have two-hand grips to hold it.

So, if I want to light up something too far away to hit with a .308, I can do it. I can also use the handy 12vdc receptacle on it to recharge various small things, since it has a beefy battery in it. The LED area lamps will run for days, and the main light is selectable to either 100 or 200 watts. It has it’s own rectifier in it, so I just plug an extension cord into it to recharge from 110 AV, or a common “flat-two” cord into it to recharge from a 12vdc source.

Nice engineering design, we’ll see how long it lasts.

Cost? About $20, got it early last year at Sportsman’s Guide.

Oh, man. That Torch is awesome. Want!

I like that FirstLight Tomahawk, MH.

The torch doesn’t seem like a bad light but their claim of being the world’s brightest is a bit out there. Here is a CPF post about this.
