More on the 40 point plan

Mayors Against Guns has their plan to target law-abiding gun owners. David notes the odd press treatment:

The contents of the report were reviewed by our good friends the “Authorized Journalists” back on Oct. 3:

The “Blueprint for Federal Action on Illegal Guns,” a copy of which was obtained by The Washington Post… “would dramatically improve law enforcement’s ability to keep guns out of the hands of criminals — and, in doing so, save innocent lives.”

See, if they claim it, it must be so. Right? What, you expect evidence?

And:

Note how media allies got their copy to exploit, but gun rights advocates were forced to file a Freedom of Information Act request. Bloomberg & Co. are proposing requirements to bind all gun owners–many through reclassifications, executive order enforcement, ATF policies, etc.–in other words, stuff we can’t hold our elected representatives accountable for.

Yes. As I said before, these guys actually know the laws and the regulations and are trying to exploit them. Unlike the Brady Camp, which is ineffective.

And it should come as no surprise that Mayors Against Guns supports thuggish police tactics that congress wasn’t too happy about.

The best defense is a good offense – and the best target is the mayor of your town. Most mayors are in office because no one else wants the job.

So if your mayor is one of Bloomers thugs get together with your shooting buddies and make a lot of noise. If he/she or it will not resign from MAIG find a candidate. Talk a buddy into it. Or run yourself.

Your mayor is not pro-crime? Then give a few bucks to the pro-gun candidate in the town up the road.
