It's do or die or you're not a SEAL or Delta anymore. If they're ordered to capture, they have to capture. If they're ordered to safeguard, they have to safeguard. Otherwise, even if they're not punished, they're off the teams and they go to regular units. Which is why they could not accept non-judicial punishment, a welcom option for other soldiers, but must seek complete exoneration through a court martial.
