The last time the Army executed somebody it was by hanging.
And I thought hanging was an “unclean” death in the Muslim world, part of why they did it to Saddam.
Bring him out in full class A’s, strip every trace of the uniform of, and let him hang till he’s dead dead dead.

I’ve never had a complaint about Knob Creek, but I do have a bottle of Maker’s Mark that’s been hanging around unopened since I got back from Afghanistan. Bought it with AAFES pogs.

Regarding the Fort Hood killer: I’m against killing him. That’s what he would want. It would make him a martyr in the eyes of radical Islam. It would be much better to keep him alive and find some other punishment.

I am a big advocate of returning to the days when a death sentence was carried out at the end of a rope or the muzzle of a rifle, preferably in a very public venue. This offered the lawful people definite, observable evidence that justice had been served, and the less-lawful definite, observable evidence that some shit just would not be tolerated. In addition, it removed a dangerous felon from the herd, permanently. (“Say what you will about capital punishment, the recidivism rate is just about dead-zero.” -unknown)
Further, the cost of a box of cartridges or a length of rope is as prudently frugal a use of taxpayer dollars as I’ve ever heard proposed.

In accordance with Army Regulation 190-55, lethal injection is, indeed, the approved form of execution for the military.

For trivia, there are a grand total of nine inmates currently awaiting execution in the Special Housing Unit at Fort Leavenworth. If it makes any of us feel any better, military prisons are prisons – inmates have very little control over their lives, and the Major’s final days will not be his.

FYI, the last militree execution was 1961.

After the military trial, there will likely be a federal habeas review. Just as with a state court death case.

If convicted and sentenced to death, Hasan could wait a very long time to see his sentence carried out.

Commander-in-Chief Obama’s murderous, Muslim monster, Major Hasan, still lives. As long as he’s alive, he represents a political problem for that son of a Muslim in the White House, who is increasingly distrusted by the American people.
However, Obama’s problem is not merely a philosophical one. There are the questions of what did the White House know, when did they know it, and what did they do about it? Congressional testimony under oath may provide answers to those questions. Let the subpoenas go out and the investigations begin.

As far as charging the Ft Hood killer with treason, I doubt they will, because he would almost certainly be acquitted. The US has a very specific definition of treason, and only 12 people have been convicted in our entire history. He’ll be convicted of murder, and probably executed.

They have forgotten how to defend themselves as well. There should have been at least one armed NCO present, at an absolute minimum. This is wartime. We are fighting wars against Islamic jihadi’s on two fronts. This was enemy action, or did he just happen to shout “Allahu Akbar!” because he tripped over something?
One shooter with only a handgun produced 42 military personnel casualties. That is not the army I want defending me. That is not “Army Strong”, it’s “Army Politically Correct According to Marxist Values”.
Our government strips us of the right to keep and bear arms at every opportunity. People in the military, being subject to orders, are especially vulnerable to that abuse. Our soldiers need a Bill of Rights, like maybe the one we’re already supposed to have. Just because people are in the military doesn’t mean that they can stripped of their right to keep and bear arms for bureaucratic convenience.

The military uses the federal death chamber at Terre Haute, IN. The method is lethal injection. There are several layers of appeal after conviction before the death penalty could be conducted. The sitting president after all appeals were over would personally have to sign the death warrant in order for an execution to be performed.

Firing squad is something of a “warrior’s death” too, from what I understand. A lot of the guys convicted at Nuremberg specifically requested it. Most of them wound up dancing on a rope instead.

Also love the fact that Napalitano is urging no backlash against muslims only months after her report that disgruntled white veterans were likely to present a terrorist threat. Once again reality trumps their wishful thinking.

I like all of those. Creek is the darkest of those. A bit more kick and the finish will get your attention. The other two are lighter and smoother. I like Hayden’s but, for the price, I’d stick with the Buffalo Trace.

Some of the comments I’ve seen suggest it could take 10-15 years before the execution would actually happen (assuming he doesn’t wave all sorts of appeals etc). When would the order be signed? After conviction, or after appeals are exhausted? In the latter case, it would be after an Obama 2nd term (worst case scenario)… Even a conviction could be towards the end of the first term… Will it really even be Obama’s duty to sign it?
