Answer: the technology is no longer exotic and expensive. They might as well have it, and as it becomes more familiar, they'll find more uses for it. As with guns in the hands of citizens, the question isn't "should they have access to this technology"; rather, it should be, "are they pursuing useful, constitutional ends?" Answer: the technology is no longer exotic and expensive. They might as well have it, and as it becomes more familiar, they’ll find more uses for it.
