It is a hogue and I had to take a razor and cut off about 1/4 an inch.

I have a P3AT as well and am interested as to which slip on grip you chose for your Kel Tec? Looks like a Hogue cut down to size. I’d really appreciate the tip because I’ve been looking for one that’s the right size.

Holsters? Why would you use a holster? I use the spring clip to keep it in the small of my back under my pants. I did switch the clip to the other side as I am right handed, but otherwise it is stock. I can sit in a car for 8 hours without it bothering me.

Agree on the tight grip comment. Twenty rounds and I’m through shooting that for the day. Upside: it makes my Gold Cup feel pretty tame!

Good thing Ruger chose the Kel-Tec to copy. Crimson Trace would have never made a Laser just for the Kel-Tec.

JoeMerchant24: I use a DeSantis pocket holster with my P3AT. It has a “sticky” rubber coating on the outside, and a slick silk-like lining inside. Dono if it will fit with a laser on the front of the trigger guard, though. The way I see it, my P3AT is a belly gun, and the range for a belly gun is contact to 8 feet, so the laser is probably not necessary. I also carry a Kel-Tec P-11 (9X19) when I’m not carrying the P3AT, and I do shoot that one out to 25 yards, so a laser might be nice on it, but it also has nice 3-dot sights, and I don’t have any problem sighting it. I qualified with it last year on the police Tactical Pistol course (a twilight shoot, no less!), and I was the first ever shooter of that course to even try with a Kel-Tec.

Firehand: If you have everything to load .380 but hulls, couldn’t you use some 9X19 hulls trimmed down 2mm? There are all kinds of 9mm hulls out there.

Right now, I’m very thankful I got a set of .380 dies and some suitable bullets a while back; as you note, even if I could find factory ammo right now I couldn’t afford to shoot the stuff.

I found the secret to getting good accuracy out of the kel-tec is to have a death grip on the gun when you fire it. Without lasers, I can bounce coke cans around at the 10 yard range and hit them most of the time at 15 yards.

After a long session, the gun does eat into the web of my hand and my fingers begin to get sore and shaky from the effort, but we are talking 100+ rounds, not the length of a gunfight.

The gun is well engineered to do what it does. It’s accurate, reliable and it doesn’t print when you pocket carry. And it’s cheap!

The only trick now is to find some ammo.

Sew a loop of paracord to the bottom of the holster … then turn your pants pocket inside out and sew a button to the bottom of it.

Of all the LaserGrips I own, the Kel-Tec set is by far the most useful.

They were the most accurate out of the box (first 10 shots at 10 yards stayed on a 4×6 index card).

The button is also easier for me to work than the set on my G30 or J-frame.

I need a better pocket holster, though.

I want some for mine as well, they’re just out of my financial reach at the moment.

Personally, I think there’s a damned good psychological advantage to a laser. You can see when a firearm is pointed at you with a laser and there’s the assumption that the laser is going to help you shoot better. If you manage to see a red dot on your chest, that’s kind of unnerving, and might possibly deescalate the situation.

And if not, you can put the bullet right where the red dot is.
