Clip v. magazine v. cartridge

In San Francisco, there is a proposal to regulate assault weapon magazines (whatever those are):

Plans for necessary monitoring of assault weapon cartridges [♠,♦]

The details: Two Bay Area politicians announced plans to introduce legislation that would create a system for regulating and tracking assault weapon magazines in California. [♣] The announcement by state Sen. Loni Hancock, D-Berkeley, and Assemblyman Sandre Swanson, D-Oakland, comes four days after a wanted parolee gunned down four Oakland officers, two allegedly with an AK-47.

To my knowledge, no one has yet confirmed what the weapon used in the shootings was. The press says AK but they use that term for almost any rifle. And we know that the police have not (and perhaps will not) confirm what sort of weapon it was.

  1. Matt Groom Says:

    Groom’s Law:
“Any reference to an ‘Assault Weapon’ in a news article, report, video, or other media that does not include at least one picture of said weapon indicates that the weapon is not, never was, and probably never could be construed to be an Assault Rifle or similar.”

Mags that hold more than 10 rounds are already banned in CA… sounds like these guys are just spending some of the excess cash they have floating around the CA treasuries.

How about stopping parole for all violent criminals? Then those assault weapons would likely sit unused in their closets back home, while the “pullers of triggers” would stay locked up.

I have seen very few guns go bang without a finger on the trigger. None actually. There is even a website dedicated to monitoring a particularly dangerous weapon as it sits, potentially deadly. http://montego.roughwheelers.com/gun_cam.html

    D-Berkeley, and D-Oakland.

‘Nuff said. Don’t bother trying to insert logic. It won’t fit.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
