If you think that guns shouldn’t be in private hands “because the police will protect you”, you do believe in using a gun to defend your life. You’re just outsourcing the job to a cop, that’s all.

Leftists always support outsourcing. That’s why Formerly-Great Britian was one of the only countries who was able to meet their Kyoto requirements, because they outsourced their pollution to China, where Kyoto didn’t apply.

I have met many people who have claimed “There is no excuse for violence.” I have never found one who believed it. They just believed that they would rather hire it done than risk anything themselves.
I have purposely angered them immensely by proving them to be liar, idiots, or hypocrites.

If a city cuts its police manpower due to budget constraints–and there’s a lot of that going around–it should be grounds for demanding a matching change in their prohibition of self-defense. Stands to reason.
I can’t wait for them to close a school!
