Another TN Gun Bill

A bill to ending the prohibition on carry where alcohol is served:

A Tennessee House panel recommends allowing people with handgun permits to carry their weapons into restaurants where alcohol is served until 11 p.m.

The proposal would maintain a ban on people carrying handguns from drinking alcohol. It would also continue to ban on handguns at establishments that have age limits for entry.

Because, of course, 11:00 gives you one hour before the stroke of midnight. And you know what happens to a gun at midnight, right?

It turns into a brain eating zombie and kills everyone in sight?

    Bloody blithering idiots.

Just make it illegal to consume alcohol while carrying a firearm in Tennessee (oh, wait, it already is!) and be done with it.

Give me a break with all this nanny state stuff. What about if you’re taking medication – are you not allowed to defend yourself? What are they worried about, someone shooting an innocent person? Gee that’s already illegal. So if you do it after having a microbrew, it’s now DOUBLE ILLEGAL. Maybe you’ll go on DOUBLE SECRET PROBATION!

  4. Huck Says:

WTF? do they figure that you’re less likely to be mugged after 11 PM?

  5. Rustmeister Says:

No, guns turn into penises after midnight.

As soon as I saw that 11 pm, I wondered why put a time limit on it. To make them feel better about it, maybe?

Neither Indiana nor Pennsylvania has any kind of gun control laws wrt bars or resturants that serve alcohol. No blood in the streets, well, except for Filthadelphia.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
