However, if there are gun issues coming up in the state, or even outdoor issues that can be related to guns, this is prime opportunity for an op-ed in a big paper or several in smaller regional papers by a local gun group. It would be more useful to derail his campaign when it’s a little farther along. But, you can’t count on the press to cover the issue.
