I’m not wildly impressed. “Fugly” is the first thing that came to mind. Maybe I’m just not enough of a waterfowler to appreciate the plastic coating.

Looks-wise, I prefer the new Remington to the Nova. The Nova, while futuristic-looking, always seemed somewhat over-wrought to me. A bit too busy with all those little fins on the forearm. Kind of like the original US Sig 556. The new 887 looks more pragmatic IMO…. Kind of like the Sig 556 Classic.

I was going to mention the Benelli also, which always looked like Darth Vader’s duck gun IMO.

Meh. Looks like they’re trying to copy the Benelli Novas — except my Novas look cooler and eviller.
