They are actually brevity codes. Jessie Jackson’s is the best one though.

I read that too!!! It’s definitely not a codename if the entire world knows about it. Now they are going to have to find new ones…or maybe this was just a ploy just throw us off the real code names.

As I understand it, they no longer consider codenames necessary due to modern encryption technologies, and only assign them now as a matter of popular tradition.
