Thank a Vet today
Yes, I mean you. Right now.
I’d like to thank my dad for his service to the country.

I have alreadythanked my Grandfather, who served in a dangerous job in a war in which he was hated for participating.
He served the Army Airborne Rangers in the hills of Vietnam.

I’m thankful for both my grandfathers, who fought in WW2 hoping that their sacrifice would mean we’d never have to face that menace again. I can’t imagine the fear they had to face.
They’re not here anymore so I can’t thank them personally, but I hope they knew how grateful we were.

I would thank my Dad but he never actually served, just went through the Panama Canal as a Midshipman and the war stopped – and after he left Annapolis he became an anti-war Socialist.

God bless all of them! My dad served in the 11th Airborne Division in New Guinea and the Philippines as a Combat Engineer during WWII. My Uncle was in the Marines during the Korean War, he was at Chosin Reservoir. (“Frozen Chosin”)
