It is indeed an historic day: Never in the history of the Republic have the American people elected someone who so genuinely hates the freedom enshrined in the Bill of Rights.

Lets see..Patriot Act, No Fly Lists, signing McCain-Feingold, saying he would sign an extension of AWB, GitMo, detaining people in the aftermath of 9/11 because they were brown….I think GWB has the lock on hating freedom.

you forgot the elections of 94, 96, and 98. unrestrained spending got them into office, but 9/11 presented them a new checkbook all full of checks and they embraced the old “I can’t be overdrawn, I’ve still got checks” gag. Power hungry, self serving, idiots.

If I never have to hear of an elected official serving more than one term ever again, it will be too soon.

I agree with andy. Ron Paul was the only primary candidate on the Republican side who could have had a chance of turning the financial/credit crisis into a campaign strength (while it only put more nails into John Foreign Policy McCain�s coffin).

Wat? That crazy little man?? He preached fiscal responsibility and individual responsibility and liberty. How quaint. The American public – re-public-ans – soundly rejected his message. They have gotten their wish tonight.
