The big Tulsa fall gun show has always been late October: this year it’s the first weekend in November after the election. For just this reason.

Well duh.
If He who shall not be middle named get elected, those guns may vanish from the shelves.
If colonel McThigh gets elected, we’re looking at a huge class and race war.

Who wouldn’t be stocking up on guns?

On another note: every day is a great day for a new gun, no matter what’s about to happen.

What was it Bubba Clinton said, “I haven’t stopped one hunter from using his gun” or something like that? No. That sort of talk doesn’t hold any water.

Yeah, we sell only accessories, and we’ve heard a lot of customers mention buying gun stuff “just in case” whatshisname gets elected. It happened just today in fact. There was the Clinton factor in the gun market too. Several dealers I know have said the Clintons were the best salespeople they ever had. It’s what got me back into guns in the 1990s, and I’ve heard several others tell me the same thing happened with them– they were never very much interested in guns until the Clintons came along.

I guess that’s what we call “backlash”. NRA membership went up in the 90s as well, IIRC.

I’ve known Bob Godell for a long time I’d guarantee he didn’t say the words “assault rifle”.

“I don’t have the votes in Congress to do it if I wanted” doesnt’ carry any weight with me when I know very well it could be done by fiat with an executive order. It shouldn’t with anyone else, regardless of the subject. That’s a step towards tyranny against the People.

Obama is correct in the sense that he’s not going to take anyone’s guns by himself, personally. But when you’re on the floor of your living room, with a SWAT team member’s boot on your neck, and the muzzle of a Beretta 92 in your left ear, you might wish that Obama had just dropped in all by himself.

I was at the cabella’s in Maine yesterday. I was just kicking the tires on all the neat-o guns I can’t get in my Socalist state. The guy behind the counter said he was planning on grabbing the Five-SeveN they had. When I asked why his responce: “Depending on who becomes president that gun could get very valuble overnight”

I couldn’t refute him.
