You think anyone on the left will accuse the dealer of "price gouging" and demand better gun prices for the good citizens of the district?

$125.00-- wouldn't that about double the price of "junk guns" in DC?

Here's a market force prediction; if you have to pay 125 for the transfer, you'll be more likely to buy a better handgun. Why waste the 125 fee on a 200 dollar gun? You'll sooner get the nice S&W with it's wonderful trigger action, or that awesome new STI single action in 45 Colt.

There's nothing wrong with a revolver. Even in more free states some instructors have high regard for revolvers as defense guns (I happen to like the little Ruger .357 shorty for utility and value). The problem is the limiting of choice, as if these preemptive infringements against law-abiding folks are somehow going to help anything at all.

$125 is a hell of a lot for a transfer but that is the market at work. As soon as some more dealers open the price will come down.

But a the same time the district is charging people for RIGHTS so that $125 seems small.

Still only revolvers, as far as I know (admittedly that`s not much, but if that had changed it would have been blared all over the Web) so choice will be a bit limited.

OK, maybe not just revolvers, probably muzzle-loaders (flintlocks, wheellocks, matchlocks...) as well. Big Whoop.
