Speaking of 1911 v. Glock

You’re both wrong: Real men carry single-action CZs.

Nuh-uh. Real real men use loading gates. 😉

Personally, I still have a fondness for wheelguns.

Same here. I have a Ruger Alaskan .454 Casull, and a Ruger GP-100 .357 magnum. I also have, for variety, a Springfield Armory XD45.

I’ll stick with my 1911 thanks.

I shot a glock once, better than its owner too. It just felt funny. But hey, whatever works for you.

The best gun is the gun you have with you when you need it.

The great thing about the Single Action Army is that reloading comes naturally to the left-handed shooter.

Plus, if you’re reloading under fire (not that I ever have, and devoutly hope I never do), you can sing or whistle or hum “Garryowen” while reloading. Poignant, don’t y’think?

I like to think of myself as a real man and I have two CZs. One is in .375H&H and the other is .458 Lott. I suppose one could consider them “single-action” if you used a tortured route to get there. Can’t put them in your pocket but they have superior stopping power.

That’s a pretty pimped-out CZ, what with the nickle finish and the fancy grips and all. Do “Real” men have plated guns? Do “Real” men even use then fancy, new-fangled metalic cartridges, or do they stick with the tried and true 54 caliber flintlock? Do “Real” men even pussy-foot around with firearms, or do they use sabors? Clubs? Or are clubs for sissys, whereas bare fists are for “Real” men?

My CZ52 is SA, with a basic Parked finish and bakelite grips, but I use the Glock 20 and even the Daewoo, some 1850s .44 revolvers and a Mark II a lot more. Does that count? Can I finally, for once, call myself a man or do I have to buy something else first?

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
