Of course you have all that stuff. Look at the taxes you pay. And you’re one generation away from having almost no semi-auto guns. And businesses are leaving (I know personally that the last two companies I worked for closed operations in Cali and moved across the border to NV for tax savings). Good luck.

And, no, I’ll never move there nor probably visit again. Too much nanny state for me, thanks.

“Like Cali, NY, NJ, and Britain, it�s a whole other country.” No, “Cali” is not a “whole other country”. I live in L.A. county, and own a metric ass-load of guns. Big deal. So do all my friends. There are 35 million people in California. So when you break it down, even if only 5 percent of Califorinians are gun-nut rednecks, and we are, that still makes more rednecks than the entire population of most ‘Flyover’ states. We also have an impressive list of military installations you may have heard of. Edwards AFB, Vandenberg AFB, Camp Pendleton, Coronado. Fort Irwin national training center. Like those quick Gulf war victories? Your welcome. We even saved the tortises. The Armalite rifle was invented in Hollywood. And the Space Shuttle, the Blackbird, the F-117, the B-2 Spirit, blah blah blah. More men from California died in the Vietnam war than any other state in the Union. And, your welcome. Those paved roads and modern sewer systems ya’ll like so much? Does your state really have the GDP to afford that stuff, or did Uncle Sam help? ‘Cause when Sam needs some money for the cousins, he comes here with his hand out.

And I won’t even start in on FEEDING your asses.

So go ahead and gripe and bitch and moan. We know it makes you feel better. Until you move here. But don’t start beliving too much of your own hype. Truth is, at the end of the day, you can’t afford it.

If I could carry around free from retaliation from gov’t authorities, I would not mind. Although, I was not that intimidated by coppers with machine guns when I was visiting Cambodia a few years ago. The capital had them all over the place with stockless, dirty looking AKs.

From what I could tell, the one I could see to the front was following Rule # 2 and kept his finger out of the trigger guard. Lucky for us, that train can get rather bumpy.

Had a similar experience as this back in the ’80s, in Chile. At that time, in Chile, they read you your rights with a cattle prod.

Now what would be perfect the next time they have an “exercise” would be for the radio hosts to tell people, “Avoid the Metro to day folks, the cops are playing with their guns again.”
