Generally, the syllabus sounds really good, except that licensing is upheld as long as it's consistently enforced (no more "may issue"?) We'll see how the full decision reads (it's a bit longish)

I was praying, and thank God it looks like we barely sqeezed by (5-4) on this one.

Remember: vote for the one who won't put gun-banning socialists on this panel folks. Almost everything else is secondary, because the SCOTUS is something like the final word in the US.

Some vague reference to reasonable restrictions without offering any guidance on those. Hence, we spend the next several decades arguing over exactly what Shall not be infringed means.

exactly, and i think this will be a good thing. isn't this pretty much how we've been treating the first amendment for several decades now? and all the rest of the bill of rights (that aren't treated as dead letters), for that matter? the second amendment's been asleep in this regard; time to wake it up.

oh, and also, your update. might as well start the to-be-ongoing legalistic debate in those cities as anywhere.

It's coming in minutes. We can determine whether or not the Constitution is going to be forever worthless or not.

Here's to hoping for the latter.
