Thuggery of this kind is institutional, it’s just that the institution isn’t the police. It’s the city of Memphis itself.

I agree. I do have a problem with the story referring to it as a “she”. Sorry, but the equipment says otherwise.

Very few things have me conjuring images of police commisars taking rogue officers to the steps of the courthouse, making them kneel, and giving them an intracranial lead injection. That’s one of those instances.
