Very nice essay.

I thought the same thing (re lack of BHO and HRC support and "God bless the South") yesterday at the NASCAR race (where we said the Lord's Prayer, the Pledge of Allegiance, listened to taps and an instrumental version of Amazing Grace, and sang the Star Spangled Banner, all before the race.

It is a privately owned facility and a sport which is not regulated by the Federal government.

The owner of the track, who is on the Forbes 400 list of wealthiest Americans, can do whatever he wants.

God, guns and racing have been part of my cultural make-up for many years.

I have similar feelings at gun shows.

It was quite nice.
