Well, the Garand holds eight, and the SKS holds ten rounds. That’s a full 25% advantage in “firepower” (discounting the lower energy of the SKS’s 7.62 x 39 mm cartridge compared to the ’06).

It sounds like someone is trying to “cynically exploit our fears”.

That makes the bullets go faster! I found so much BS from the news on this story it made my head spin. One of those articles has a picture of the beasty boomstick that grew a will of its own, whipped out its NRA card AND shiny CHP, and then proceded to commit murder. Seriously though, the same thing could have been done with a Henry Big Boy. But…but…but….it had a folding stock! That makes the bullets go faster!
