Not all university students are ubersocialists! I’m not, myself, and I know several others who aren’t. Now, I’ll agree that most are, but I’d say that most non-students in that age bracket are as well. Don’t blame the universities; most kids get indoctrinated much younger than that!

On a related note, I did a speech on CCW laws a couple years ago in my Public Speaking class, and I got a decent grade on it. I think I may have even managed to change a few minds!

teqjack, that blog essentially took the side of “weapons! eeeuuww!”. the author wanted less-lethals such as pepper spray and batons heavily regulated also; that was the point i gave up on him.

Which side was this blog taking? That quote could have been made at just about any site taking the matter seriously rather than “Weapons! EEEUUWW!”

I did note that he spent no time rebutting his commenters – or even paying any attention to them.
